Spring is here when the Ducklings appear!

Spring is here when the Ducklings appear!

Although some northern States are still dealing with cold weather and even snow, Spring has certainly arrived in full force here in Florida.

The other day I was outside by the seawall doing some weeding weeding when this proud Mama Duck came by showing off her brood.  They stayed around for a little while especially since I threw in some free bread - long enough for me to get a shot of all of them together.

Look closely, altogether there are sixteen little ducklings - quite a big family!

Sylvia I thought Spring was here, and then snow decided to pay us a visit.  Spring for me is when I cut the lawn for the first time.

Oh my, what a large family. Mama duck must have taken in some strays to get that size of family! I love this time for year and see lots of babies on our lake.

THey are adorable ducklings. Last year when on the lake in Tennessee.... we had many ducks around the boat and yes we were feeding them.

Silvia -- I love it when I see a family and they all line up and follow their mother. We still have cold here in CT.  Although it's 52 here now, it's still raw.  I am yearning for the 80s - 90s like you have! Enjoy your spring!
