Bell Ringing for the Salvation Army with Rotary Club of Spring Hill FL

Bell Ringing for the Salvation Army with Rotary Club of Spring Hill Florida

Every November and December, you see and hear the bell ringers at the front of stores and other locations ringing those bells for donations to the Salvation Army.  People put their donations in the red kettles the Salvation Army is known for.  The proceeds from these bell ringing activities is going to help local needy families, seniors and the homeless in a variety of ways.

This year, I volunteered together with other members of the Rotary Club of Spring Hill, Florida, to help in this effort. We were working in two-hour shifts so everyone had an opportunity to participate.

It was a great experience and everyone had a lot of fun too!  People are really nice and generous. Most everyone came up and put something into our kettle. Kids especially were curious and fascinated by the bells and many adults stopped to talk for a few minutes and to exchange wishes for a Merry Christmas.

That is so cool of you Silvia. I heard on the news locally that someone put a $500k check into a local Salvation Army bucket.

Silvia, I worked the booth at Krogers for our Realtors Feed the Need food drive. We were at one entrance and the Salvation Army was at another.

Good morning Silvia being a real estate agent one must be patient but standing at a door ringing a bell really means one has to draw on patience. Congrats on your dedicated support of the Salvation Army Christmas fund raising with the help of Rotary Club.

Silvia that is excellent that you volunteered for this.   I have not done bell ringing for a few years now, but did it form many years when I was a member of the Exchange Club.  I really should think about volunteering some time to do it againl
