... a windmill? I found this listing advertised in my hometown in Germany where I'm currently vacationing and visiting with family and friends.
On a stroll through town, I came across the local real estate ads and could not resist to take a look!
This was a working windmill until just a few years ago. The new owner can choose to either continue operating it as a windmill or change it into living space.
It's offered at 150,000 Euros which is $210,175.14 at todays current exchange rate!
At any rate, it's an interesting piece of real estate that would make a great place to live!

Silvia,
When I lived in Europe, I used to hunt for B&Bs in windmills. Your post brought back many happy memories.
So when do you close on it?
it certainly is unique!!!
Irene, I wish! I think this would be a home that truly would make for great conversations at parties! And there wouldn't be very many of them!
Very unique home. I bet it would be hard to find a comp on this one..
Silvia - For one who chases windmills this would finally be home. Thanks for sharing yet another unique real estate situation.
That is very cool. We had an old firehouse nearby for sale that somebody turned into a home. ~Rita
Hi Silvia ~ That sounds dreamy actually. I've always loved roadside architecture and unusual buildings but don't come across many any windmills. What fun!
Liz
Martin, you bet!
Mike, I agree, the new windmills are quite different in design and technology! Makes me wonder if in a 100 years someone would consider living in those?
Lisa, you might have noticed whom it is offered by.
Rita, I think it's a great idea to give new life to old buildings rather than tearing them down.
Liz, there used to be quite a number of windmills in this area but many fell into disrepair. This is a gem!
I always wanted to be either a lighthouse keeper, a forest fire watcher, or a windmill keeper. Alas, probably none of them are in my future at this point in my life. :(
Hi Silvia, Great windmill property! Hope you are having a good time over there visiting...don't get too comfy though...Hernando Beach is calling you! Take care!
Terese, don't worry! It's nice to go "home" for a visit and then and it's nice to go home! Happy Memorial Day weekend!
My marketing guru has always wanted to live either in a windmill, a lighthouse, or a forest fire lookout station. That's not going to happen while I'm married to him - LOL.
Jim, does that mean you wouldn't let him apply for that recent caretaker position for that New Zealand island? Just kidding! Thanks for stopping by!
Silvia,
This is just too cool! I'd love to live in a Windmill! Thanks for the post.
