Florida Gardening - Fall Vegetables

Just when gardeners in most other states have to stop and put away their garden tools for the approaching winter months, gardeners in Florida will get busy and be thinking about planting their Fall garden.

Temperatures now are just right for a variety of vegetables including carrots, radishes, and broccoli that do well throughout Florida.

Florida is a long state and has different growing zones which are important to remember. Temperatures between the zones can vary considerably and not every plant will be flourishing in each zone. Nevertheless, each zone will support a variety of different vegetables and plants to grow successfully.

The University of Florida's Institute of Food and Agricultural Services publishes a gardening calendar specific to each of the three growing zones in Florida and many infographics with detailed information about Florida gardening at different times of the year.

Click on the infographic below for more gardening solutions and information about the UF/IFAS and the services they provide.
